BGDM Member Films at Sundance 2026

Edwin Flores • January 16, 2026

Sundance is the world’s premier launchpad for independent storytelling, and this year, 19 projects premiering at the festival were made or worked on by BGDM members. Since 1985, Sundance has introduced groundbreaking films that go on to shape culture, win major awards and secure global distribution, making a premiere one of the most competitive and career-defining milestones in filmmaking. Earning a spot at Sundance requires years of creative labor, persistence and vision, and our members have once again proven what is possible for women and BIPOC filmmakers telling bold, authentic stories. We celebrate every Mafiosx whose work will light up screens in Park City and beyond because Sundance is not just a festival. It is a launching pad that opens doors throughout the year and signals to the industry that our voices belong at the center of the conversation. Check out the full lineup of films premiering below.

Our team will be braving the altitude and showing up in person for our ninth year at Sundance. Join us at our panels, community gatherings and partner activations throughout the festival. Be sure to stop by, connect with us and celebrate the power of our collective on the mountain. Here’s what happening:
