Unforgettable BlackStar 2022
Miasarah Lai • September 15, 2022
This past August, BGDM was a community partner at the 11th Edition of the Blackstar Film Festival. The film festival is an annual celebration of the visual and storytelling traditions of the African diaspora and of global Indigenous communities, showcasing films by Black, Brown and Indigenous artists from around the world. Each year at Blackstar it feels like a pilgrimage home to a much needed space in this industry, where BIPOC films, creators, scholars and networks are upheld.
