Biography
Sunali is a South African visual artist, graphic designer and grant writer. Centered on creating meaningful spaces in the arts, Sunali collaborates with artists and filmmakers around the world to visually communicate their ideas in development.
She has helped secure grants from IDA Pare Lorentz and Black Public Media, pitching opportunities from Hot Docs, The Gotham, DOCNYC, IDFA, Big Sky and Sheffield, and felllowships from The Kenneth Rainin Foundation and Presidential Leadership Scholars. Her own short experimental documentary 'Laundry Man' was funded by PPC Imaginarium, and featured in exhibitions across South Africa including the National Arts Festival in Makhanda, and in the New York Lift-Off Film Festival in 2019. She currently lives in Montreal, Canada.
