Biography
I’m a Venezuelan editor and motion/graphic designer based in Brooklyn, NY. I have been part of the editing and motion design teams of several feature documentaries, including: “PBS - American Masters: Art Spiegelman: Disaster Is My Muse' (Doc NYC, 2024), “Meanwhile” (The Margaret Mead Film Festival, NewFest, 2024), “Paint Me A Road Out of Here” (DC/DOX Film Festival, Urbanbound, 2024), “Latina Owned” (2024, under production), “Valor Y Cambio” (under production), “The Business of Birth Control” (2021), and “Dreamtown” (2014).
I was awarded with the fellowship 'Still I Rise Films' to develop an animated documentary about activist children in Latin America. This project was selected to participate at The Gotham Week 2022.
I have additional experience in online media - In 2014, I co-founded the Spanish-language publication ViceVersa Magazine, exercising the role of Creative Director, which has allowed me to explore different disciplines, ranging from motion and graphic design, to podcast production, video editing and event production.
I'm the co-creator, director and editor of “Neoyorquinos,” a Spotify Original Podcast covering Latinx arts and culture. Our team participated at the conference Podfest and at The Gotham Week. I've mentored participants from Spotify's Latinx Sound Up Program and produced their podcast pilots.
In collaboration with The Cooper Union, I spearheaded the Creative Direction and Production of the international conference “Bitter Laughter,” which centered around the work of political cartoonists from Latin America and Spain.
I collaborated in Rethink Canada’s campaign “Period for Periods,” to raise awareness about period poverty in North America.
I’m a proud member of The Handy Foundation, BIPOC Doc Editor, Brown Girls Doc Mafia, and Video Consortium.
I'm passionate about projects that change the world, one pixel at a time.
