Biography
Hazuki Aikawa⠀is a Japanese film director and media researcher based in New York City. Born in Sapporo and raised in Tokyo, she moved to New York City in 2003 to obtain her masters degree in science journalism from New York University. Her works as a director/writer include short fiction films Reflection (2014) , Upgrade (2013), A Happy New Year (2016) among others. She regularly works for TV broadcast NHK, specifically with their science documentary development team. She also produces, directs, and edits for non-profit and grassroots organizations. Her 60-second video Listen was translated into 9 languages and was distributed worldwide. Hazuki is fluent in both English and Japanese.
