Biography
Allison Carden Hanes is a primatologist, wildlife conservationist, veterinary technician and filmmaker that has lived and worked in six continents. Her work and research specializes in one health conservation and human-wildlife conflict/co-existence. After receiving her MSc in Primate Conservation at Oxford Brookes University assessing disease transmission between humans and mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda, she has worked with many organizations throughout the tropics. Founder of One Health Productions, Allison is based in Brooklyn, and makes films across multiple disciplines including wildlife, science, tech, human rights and the arts. She is currently working on multiple one health African great ape trekking films and a feature length multimedia documentary project about singing gibbons in Asia. She is also an Explorers Club Fellow, a WINGS WorldQuest Flag Carrier and proudly serves on the Young Professionals Council Executive Committee at EcoHealth Alliance, which are all based out of New York City.
