Aala Abdullahi

Aala⠀spent three years working with Al Jazeera’s innovation department, producing long-form experimental visual journalism to explore underreported stories from and about marginalized communities and developing countries. Holding a graduate journalism degree from New York University, specializing in interactive media. She has extensive producer experience, from daily radio shows to documentaries (i.e. social videos, episodic series and features). She is currently working as Sahan Journal's innovation and engagement editor, leading a year-long community engagement project.
