Daquisha Jones-Sol

Daquisha Jones-Sol, (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based writer and development professional with five years experience in equitable arts access and organizational and foundational development. Prior to her role with BGDM, she volunteered as Board President for the ECO Foundation, a nonprofit that connects people to cultural opportunities in the arts and business, and as a development officer for World Cafe Live, an independent music venue in the Philadelphia region serving 150,000 audience members annually.

Her fundraising experience began seven years ago, raising resources to fully fund her own indie film project, Bad Ally: The Web Series. Co-created with partner, Arial Mahler, Bad Ally explores themes of intimacy, accountability, and identity. Currently, she helps organize a professional network of Black women nonprofit professionals, emphasizing resource sharing and camaraderie. She graduated from Hanover College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science
